Middle school teacher wears wedding dress to school

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Britta Hubbard, a Family Consumer Sciences Teacher at O'Leary Middle School was spotted wearing her wedding dress.

Last month students at O'Leary participated in the Festival of Giving campaign, benefiting area agencies.

Hubbard's Primetime students met their goal, hence the dress.

The students brought in 7627 food items for the Salvation Army, donated $3081.76 to the Valley House and donated 328 pairs of jeans to the refugee center.

Eighth grader Omar Laris, "what surprised me this year was how many Primetimes got involved in it. In years past, we really haven't had many Primetimes sell things or have services."

"What did your husband say when you put the wedding dress on this morning?

Teacher Britta Hubbard says, he was thoroughly entertained that I had a reason to wear a wedding dress to school."

Overall, Twin Falls School District students raised nearly 25?thousand dollars, collected 19?thousand food items, plus a number of other items for families in need.
